Learning design with curiosity in one hand and a puzzle box in the other.

I'm Pamela Gutman, a Learning Experience Designer, speaker, and builder of interactive adventures. I design onboarding, training, and speaking experiences that help people explore unfamiliar territory, connect with others, and discover new possibilities.

I like work that rewards curiosity, collaboration, and thoughtful problem-solving.

Professional lens

My background spans instructional design, learning strategy, facilitation, and technology-enabled learning. I have spent years building experiences for technical and professional audiences, especially in spaces where people need to learn something important, fast, and in a way that sticks.

Much of my work has involved turning complex information into something usable and engaging: onboarding programs, software adoption support, interactive learning experiences, presentations, and resources that help learners feel more confident in the moment they need it most.

What I tend to bring to a project

  • Learning experience design grounded in adult learning principles
  • Interactive and game-inspired approaches to engagement
  • Strong collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • Accessible, structured, learner-friendly content
  • Comfort with emerging tools, especially when they support real learning goals

Personal flavor

Outside of work, you'll usually find me wandering through science fiction and fantasy worlds, solving escape rooms, playing tabletop RPGs, chasing clever puzzles, or traveling somewhere that gives me fresh ideas.

I love experiences that invite people to think, explore, and discover something for themselves. That same instinct shows up in the learning experiences I build. If a project can be a little more memorable, a little more collaborative, and a little more human, I am very much here for it.

How I work

I like projects that are clear in purpose but flexible in method. Give me a learning challenge, a few constraints, and a reason to care, and I will happily start mapping the territory.

My favorite kinds of work usually involve helping people connect across silos, understand a new process or technology, or feel more confident navigating a change. I am especially drawn to work that balances rigor with play.

In short

I design learning experiences that help people explore, connect, and discover. I like thoughtful structure, clear outcomes, and the occasional well-placed puzzle.
