Watch what learners do, not only what they say. Capture where effort supports the goal and where the interface gets in the way.

State the intended performance decision or behavior. Prepare the same materials and constraints real players will have. Ask participants to think aloud when helpful; avoid coaching.

Keep the mechanics that learners enjoyed and understood. Fix confusing language and unclear transitions first. Confirm that changes preserve the performance objective. Schedule a fresh test with new participants.
